First Practice is almost here!

I could not be more excited to get on the field and hope you are in the same boat. Here’s what you need to know for this week:

• First Practice: 3/18 9-11 am. We’ll start in the team room, then take the field. Weather will not stop us. Bring both Cleats and Running Shoes. Will we take the PRT (physical readiness test).

  • 11am Parent Meeting - turf bleachers. Immediately after practice, we’ll hold our Parent meeting, with all players attending. This should take no more than 5-10 minutes. Agenda:

    • Introduction of coaching staff

    • Practice Times (2:45-5 daily, all weather)

    • Team Expectations

    • Academic Expectations

    • Available opportunities for Parent Help

    • All topics discussed will be posted to saybrooklacrosse.com.

• Still have shoulder pads to load out for season, for free. See me.

• Yale has a home game this Saturday (3/11) at 11:30 vs Denver. Yale is currently ranks 7th while Denver just took #9 Duke to OT last week. Should be a good game.

• Back up nets (like we need those) should be up on the field today-ish.

• We will have 3 night games!!! CIAC schedule will be updated. Last game vs. Valley, Old Lyme and HK.

• Find a wall. Think about the role you want this season. At season’s end, what do YOU want to have accomplished?
